Quality coaching is the single most important factor in the development of athletes, and the sport itself - USA Hockey
While our program has won numerous division and tournament champions, including four Texas State Championships as well as participation at the USA Hockey National championship level, it is the quality of our coaching that is the real evidence of our success.
The differences between a good coach and a great one may be subtle, but they can make a world of difference to players. Our coaches understand that you don’t win games at the expense of skill development. That the true measurement of success is not by their trophy case, but by the smiles on their players’ faces, their improvement on the ice and their passion for the game.
Our coaches take the time to listen, understand and treat their players with respect. They know that their team is only as strong as its weakest player and they works hard to give every player the chance to improve his or her skills. Hitmen coaches deliver criticism and praise in a way that players will take to heart, with respect and understanding and with a bias toward continuous improvement.
Our coaches show passion for the game and the team, and work hard to build and exciting season. They are motivators who give clear directions based on proven plans while creating an “esprit de corps” feeling for their teams regardless of playing level.
The quality of our professional coaching staff sets us apart from all other youth hockey organizations in the area.
